Samsung Galaxy Gear starts supporting its Galaxy devices.

Samsung Galaxy Gear was launched with Galaxy Note 3. This was the Samsung’s first smartwatch powered on Android 4.3 version is now compatible with other Galaxy devices. A new software update will be available from November onwards and users will be able to connect other Galaxy smartphones which includes Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Mega 5.8, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 zoom, Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S4 with Galaxy Gear.



When Galaxy Gear is configured with Samsung Galaxy devices you can make calls and read text and emails messages without taking your smartphone from the pocket and makes it more convenient for you access the phone with this smart watch. It also has a Smart Relay feature which helps to read the message in bigger smartphone screen with the same path you were reading the message in Galaxy Gear.

After waiting for long, finally Blackberry Q5 is launched in the market. Blackberry Q5 model from Blackberry which runs on Blackberry 10 operating system is the second QWERTY smartphone. It is priced at half the price of higher model Blackberry Z10.



Blackberry Q5 runs on 1.2Ghz dual core processor with 2GB of RAM memory. It has a 3.1 inch screen display panel. It is equipped with 5MP if back and 2MP of front camera which is not that attractive with this price. It has internal storage of 8GB and expandable upto 32GB.

This smartphone will be available in Black, Pure White and Pure Red color variants which is designed purely for youth. With new operating system smartphone users can use apps like BBM video and share screen. All the updated Blackberry 10 applications will be available on Blackberry Q5.

Nokia Lumia 1020 - detailed features, specs and price

The shell has broken and the baby is out. The much awaited phone from Nokia has been launched. It is named as Nokia Lumia 1020, after a lot of announcements. It is launched with 41 pixel Carl Zeiss lens which is one of the first lens manufacturers in the world. The phone seems much similar to its ancestor Nokia lumia 808. The main thing which separates 1020 from 808 is the new Windows operating system.



The camera seems to the most significant part of this smartphone. It doesn’t say that this phone does not possess any of the features of a smartphones. Since the phone is running in Windows 8 Operating System, this phone has hit the market with the premium brand in Lumia Series and earlier Nokia Lumia 808 on Symbian OS was available with same camera.

The phone has regular 3.5mm jack for sound experience and comes with 2 microphones and IHF speaker for 3D surround quality.

Nokia Lumia 1020 has a good 2000mAh battery life which gives maximum talk time of 13 hrs in 3G network, video playback time for 6.8hrs and 63 hrs of continuous for music. Also gives 16 days of standby time.

The phone will be available in yellow, white and black colors. Nokia Lumia 1020 is priced at $300 in US and will be available in market from 26 July.

The new launch clearly states that Nokia are not holding back from the market. Truly with its Camera feature the Nokia is going to rule the market again. The phone is excellent with its features with its user friendly operating system.

Xolo launches quad core Android smartphone for Rs. 8,999.

After hitting the high range smartphone market with XOLO Q1000, Q700 and Q800, this time Xolo has come up with budget phone. With Intel powered processors Xolo has added Q600 to its Qcore series. This smartphone is aimed at high performance with an attractive price of Rs. 8999.



Xolo Q600 powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2(JellyBean OS). It also has PowerVR SGX544 GPU for a better gaming experience. Q600 comes with a anti-theft protected app for phone safety. It is a dual SIM(3G+2G) GSM smartphone. It has a 5MP back facing camera to capture images and front facing VGA camera for video calling.

Q600 comes with 4.5” TFT display and also supports 5 finger touch gesture and has a internal storage of 4GB which can be expanded to 32GB with microSD card. Official Facebook App got updated for Windows Phone.

Facebook 5.0 version is being released for better performance and easy availability of options on apps powered on Windows Phone. With this new Facebook app heavy users can switch between pages more quickly, easy navigation of options available in app, better user interface, support for high resolution images and can post updates and status more faster.


This application was in Beta phase as many new things has been added to it, for better Windows Phone experience. The developers were working on it from past few months to keep the app updated with clean user interface. Since this version is more stable than the previous versions, Facebook and Windows Phone developers will roll out with new updates on the app more frequently.

Nokia introduces Mail for Exchange on Asha smartphones

Samsung announces Galaxy NX Android based interchangeable lens camera.

This time Samsung brings more advanced Android powered camera with interchangeable lens and adds it to the Galaxy world. Being a leader in Android market, Samsung changing the series of the prior NX model with latest Galaxy models.


Samsung Galaxy NX has a 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor camera which helps to shoot up to 25,600 ISO in low-light and can also record 1080p video at 25fps(frames per second) and 8.6fps on still images. All the interchangeable lens are compatible with Galaxy NX and also support 3D lens. Its internal storage is 16GB which is expandable upto 64GB on microSD slot and 2GB RAM for run the ongoing applications.

It has a 4.8-inch LCD touchscreen which will definitely be giving a phone experience and maximum features available on Internet. It also support 3G and 4G network connectivity with a good WI-FI, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS geo-tagging. The NX runs on 4,360mAh battery.

Aircel started international roaming services for Myanmar.

With the expansion plans Aircel targets Postpaid users and started international roaming services for customers who travel to Myanmar. To start the service Aircel partnered with Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (MPT). By starting this service, Aircel becomes the first Indian telecom operator to offer such services to its customers for Myanmar.

The applicable rates will be:
·        Outgoing calls within Myanmar: Rs. 55/min
·        Outgoing calls to India/other countries: Rs. 80/min
·        Incoming calls: Rs. 60/min
